Five Fun Facts about Keenan Allen

*This offseason, we want you to get to know our players a little more off the field.

While you may be aware wide receiver Keenan Allen is gearing up for a comeback season, here are five fun facts you likely don't know about number 13. *

  1. Piano Man: Allen's talents extend well beyond the gridiron.  "I play piano and started in junior year of high school when I was 17. My friend was playing and it sounded dope so I wanted to play."  He's self-taught, and also sings and writes his own music.
  1. FNL Fan: When it comes to Allen's favorite movie, there seems to be a common theme.  "My favorite movie is Friday Night Lights.  I like to keep it in the football family."  He said he's solely a fan of the movie and never got into the cult classic television show.
  1. Favorite Food: Allen says his favorite food is lobster.  While he cooks, he said he hasn't dipped into making his favorite dish yet.  However, here are some things Allen does make: "I like cooking the simple stuff.  I can make pork chops, steak and chicken."
  1. Ice Man: If you follow Allen on Instagram or check into TMZ every now and then, you'll see he has a pretty impressive jewelry collection with custom grills.  "I have a Slayer piece, a KA13 piece, bracelets, earrings and necklaces."  Check out that Slayer piece below.
  1. Origin of the Nickname: As mentioned above, it's hard to think of Keenan Allen without the Slayer moniker.  "Somebody came up with it on Instagram and it stuck."  When he's on the field, Allen truly is a beast.  And to his credit, he doesn't lack in confidence.  "It demonstrates me on the field just crushing DBs.  I haven't found a DB who can guard me yet."
