Chargers Week 13 Fantasy Forecast

Going into the Week 13 of the regular season, the Chargers are ranked fourth in the NFL and first in the AFC in total points, averaging over 28 points per game. Here is what notable fantasy experts are saying as the Bolts get ready to host the Buccaneers on Sunday:

Melvin Gordon:  Gordon has blossomed into a consistent top-five RB this year and is going up against a Tampa Bay defense that allows over 100 yards per game on the ground. Yahoo believes Gordon has a favorable matchup, rating it four out of five stars saying "Melvin Gordon failed to top 100 yards from scrimmage last week for the first time since Week 6, but could get back on track Sunday against a Buccaneers defense allowing 115.8 rushing yards a game, 22nd in the league." Gordon is on average going for $7,600 in daily fantasy leagues.

Philip Rivers:In the past two games he has played, Rivers has averaged over 280 yards and three touchdowns through the air. Pair that with his average output vs. Tampa Bay, 312 yards and 3.5 touchdowns, and it is hard not to like Rivers' potential going into the game this weekend. He is listed as a starter/love by, and Michael Fabiano of elaborates on why he likes Rivers this week saying "(The Bucs) defense has allowed almost 18 points a game to quarterbacks on the road, and Rivers has scored 17-plus points in nine of his last 13 games in San Diego. That's a solid statistical floor."  He is on average going for $7,350 in daily fantasy leagues.

Antonio Gates: Coming off of a game in which he was not targeted, many experts believe that will not become a trend as ranks him as the number six tight end this week.  ESPN's Matthew Berry has him as a "love."'s Jamey Eisenberg lists Gates as a starter saying "Gates has scored in all but one home game this year, and Tampa Bay has allowed a tight end to score at least nine Fantasy points in three of the past five games. Gates should return as a top-flight tight end against the Buccaneers." Gates is on average going for $4,700 in daily fantasy leagues.

Tyrell Williams: Williams is listed as questionable for Sunday's game. Should he play, he is coming off three straight games where he has found the end zone and back-to-back games with double digit targets. Williams is generating a lot of buzz this week and is listed as a starter/love by, and He is listed by's Michael Fabiano as the "Start of the Week" *for wide receivers saying "he's scored 12-plus fantasy points in four of his last five games and has scored a touchdown in three straight contests. I like his hot streak to continue this week against the Buccaneers, who have allowed 28-plus fantasy points to wideouts six times in 2016."* Williams is on average going for $6,350 in daily fantasy leagues.

Chargers Defense:The Bolts defense has been on a tear as of late, generating double digit point totals in three of the last four games they have played.  They are currently second in the league with 23 takeaways on the year and are facing a Tampa Bay offense that has turned it over 18 times (tenth in the league). ESPN's Matthew Berry says "(They have) forced 11 turnovers and scored three touchdowns in their last four games and are available in 57 percent of leagues." On average the Chargers defense is going for $3,700 in daily fantasy leagues.
