Chargers to host 2016 DraftFest

The San Diego Chargers will host a fun and interactive DraftFest on the field at Qualcomm Stadium on Saturday, April 30 from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Draftfest is free to all fans.  The highlight of DraftFest will be the first opportunity for fans to see the team's first, second and third-round 2016 draft choices.

DraftFest promises to be a fun and entertaining event for the entire family. Parking and admission will be free. The parking lot at Qualcomm Stadium will open at 8 a.m. and Chargers fans will have an opportunity to watch the final four rounds of the NFL Draft on both BoltVision screens, as well as big screens that will be set up on the field at the stadium. The Chargers will have five picks during DraftFest, with one selection in rounds 4, 5 and 7, and two selections in round 6.

While the draft is taking place, there will be plenty for fans to do on the field. There will be a series of Play60 interactive games spread throughout the field which kids and adults alike can enjoy. Current and former Chargers players will be in attendance to take part in an interactive Q&A and mingle with fans. Autographs will also be available with Chargers alumni players.

Fans should bring an appetite to DraftFest as Qualcomm Stadium's concessionaire, Delaware North, will be offering hot dogs and other specialty items on the field.

DraftFest will also provide fans with an opportunity to join the growing list of Chargers Season Ticket Members. Some of the best seats in the stadium, including seats in the lower bowl, will be tagged for Season Ticket Member purchases. The Chargers have an exciting home schedule in 2016 that includes the defending Super Bowl Champion Denver Broncos and the New Orleans Saints, who are led by former Chargers quarterback Drew Brees. At home in 2016, the Chargers also will welcome the teams led by the top two choices in the 2015 NFL Draft, quarterbacks Jameis Winston of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Marcus Mariota of the Tennessee Titans.

In addition to all of the DraftFest excitement inside the stadium, the Chargers and Second Chance Dog Rescue are joining forces to host the Chargers Dog Draft, presented by Petco, in Section O-1 of the parking lot at Qualcomm Stadium. Beginning at 9 a.m., fans will have an opportunity to adopt a rescued dog from Second Chance Dog Rescue.
