Chargers Surprise NFL Flag Team with Trip to Nationals

In an exciting start to the New Year, the San Diego Chargers, along with every team in the NFL, were given the opportunity to send one lucky 13-14 Boy's Flag Football team to Orlando, Florida to officially represent them in the upcoming NFL FLAG National Championships beginning on January 28th.

After scouting hundreds of NFL FLAG teams throughout the county, the High Intensity Chargers from NFL FLAG San Diego were selected for this amazing opportunity.

Despite going undefeated in league play, the *High Intensity Chargers *fell a bit short in the Regional Tournament last month.  However, their perseverance and good sportsmanship convinced the Chargers they were the team to represent them!  Unknowingly, the ten players and three coaches were invited to a special behind-the-scenes tour of the Chargers practice facility, where during a break in the Chargers Team Meeting Room, a video message from Chargers Special Teams Captain Darrell Stuckey started to play.  After several congratulatory remarks about their season, Stuckey announced they had been chosen to represent the Chargers in the NFL FLAG National Championships!

The room fell silent as the players all looked at each other not sure what was happening, but as the players and coaches realized they were headed to Orlando to showcase their skills on a nationwide level the room erupted into applause and cheers!

As for the long trip to Orlando, the Chargers organization is happily covering the airfare expenses to assist the players and coaches in getting to Florida, while the NFL will be providing lodging and transportation for all teams attending.

Please join us in wishing the High Intensity Chargers good luck in Florida!

GO HIGH INTENSITY CHARGERS!
