Celebrate Latino Heritage Month With Eddie Munoz

LHMSpotlight1

As we celebrate Latino Heritage Month, we are excited to shine a spotlight on our staff members who proudly embrace their rich Latino heritage.

Meet Eddie Munoz, our Football Video Assistant!

Tell us a little bit about what you do for the Chargers.

As a Football Video Assistant, I manage the creation and preparation of game and practice film, organize cutups, maintain digital playbooks, and perform data entry. I also troubleshoot IT and AV issues to keep football operations running efficiently. On game days, I operate the still-shot system-capturing and tagging images from three cameras, inputting game data, and delivering the content to coaches' devices in real time.

What is the most rewarding part of your job?

The most rewarding part of my job is to see that my work is contributing to the team's wins.

What aspects of Latino culture are most important to you, and why?

I believe the two most defining aspects of Latino culture are community and perseverance. I prioritize building strong relationships on and off the field to cultivate a positive, collaborative environment that enables everyone to succeed and consistently meet our goals, even when faced with unforeseen challenges.

Are there any traditions or customs you particularly cherish?

The tradition I cherish most is gathering with my family every weekend. I come from a large family, and no matter how many of us there are, we always meet at my grandmother's house for a family get-together to eat food and listen to music!

Are there any Latino leaders or role models who have influenced your career or personal development?

Canelo Álvarez has been a major influence on me because he embodies perseverance and discipline. Watching his journey taught me the importance of never giving up, regardless of the challenges or setbacks you face. I carry that mindset into my career by staying focused, working hard, and finding solutions even when things get difficult. His example reminds me that consistent effort and resilience are what lead to growth and success, both personally and professionally.
