Introducing Steven Howard Jr., our Associate Creative Video Producer!

Tell us a little bit about what you do at the Chargers.

I'm an associate creative producer on the Youtube & Features team. My role includes producing, shooting, and editing content for our platforms. I work on content such as Mini Movie Features, Mic'd Up Videos, Chargers Weekly Podcast, and more.

What is the most rewarding part of your job?

The most rewarding parts of my job are being able to film on game day, provide tickets to friends & family, and seeing the reactions from fans when our Mini Movies are posted after big win!

Any advice for those trying to get a job in sports?

The sports industry is extremely competitive, especially the creative scene in Los Angeles. Networking and building connections is essential to getting your foot in the door.

Malcom X, Denzel Washington, Barack Obama, Ryan Coogler.

Tell us about a person who has inspired you and/or impacted your career today:

My mom has greatly inspired and impacted my career. Prior to working for the Chargers, I worked for NFL Media. This required me to move to California from the East Coast, which can be very daunting when coming straight out of college. I was very nervous to move because I had never been to LA and had no family or friends out here.

My mom had a similar journey around my age when she moved across the country from Denver to Connecticut to pursue her dream of attending medical school. When it came time for me to make my decision, she encouraged me to bet on myself and step outside my comfort zone. By sharing details about her experience, she helped me feel confident enough to chase my dreams.
