The Chargers are 7-3 after cruising past the Steelers with a 25-10 win in primetime.
Here are five takeaways from Week 10.
1. Primetime dub
Chargers Head Coach Jim Harbaugh was downright giddy at the podium.
Especially after the way his team throttled the Steelers on national television on Sunday night.
Pittsburgh for decades has been known as a tough, blue-collar franchise that wins with toughness. But it was the Bolts who handily won that battle in Week 10.
"I like wins that are created by great preparation, great strategy, finesse," Harbaugh said. "But the best [wins] to me are the physical ones, won by heart and grit and guts. To me, those are the best and that's what this one was.
"I just feel like our team has hearts of champions," Harbaugh added. "I love these kinds of wins. Physical. Tough. Heart. Grit. Guts."
Chargers linebacker Daiyan Henley offered a behind-the-scenes peak at the message Harbaugh delivered to his team this week, a mantra that echoed Harbaugh's words above.
"I can't share exactly what Coach Harbaugh said to us this week word for word, but he told us something about don't put softness on tape," Henley said. "He said don't put softness on tape, you got to go out there because if they think one guy out there is soft, the whole team is soft.
"That's what you see out there, a whole bunch of guys trying to make sure they remain physical and dominant throughout the whole four quarters," Henley added.
The final result?
The Chargers defense allowed just 221 yards, 156 of which came before a Steelers garbage-time touchdown drive. The unit also held Pittsburgh to just 2-of-11 on third downs, tallied three sacks and limited the Steelers to just 73 rushing yards.
Harbaugh credited his defense with doing a "stellar job" against Aaron Rodgers and Co.
"It's just us out there trusting each other," Denzel Perryman said. "Aaron Rodgers is a great player so we knew we had to be on our Ps and Qs."
Offensively, the Bolts rushed for 115 yards as part of a 314-yard effort and hung tough up front as a depleted offensive line battled all night.
"I thought it was a huge win for us," Justin Herbert said.
Sunday night's win pushed the Bolts to 7-3 and up to the No. 5 seed in the AFC playoff race. The Chargers remain a game behind the 8-2 Broncos and now have the head-to-head tiebreaker over the Steelers, who dropped to 5-4.
"That's so big. Especially winning an AFC game like that, we know that team is going to be there in the end. It's good to come out in our stadium and get a win like that," Derwin James said after the Chargers improved to 6-1 against fellow AFC teams.
Up next? The Bolts will look for their eighth win Sunday in Jacksonville before the bye week.
"Get one more going into the bye week and I think we will be right where we want to be," Keenan Allen said.
2. Chargers win turnover battle
Look, the turnover battle is a key ingredient for a win each and every week in the NFL.
But that stat felt extra important against the Steelers, something Harbaugh said outright after the win.
The Chargers dominated this area Sunday night, picking up a plus-three turnover differential, the Bolts best overall mark of the season to date.
"It was huge to play turnover-free. We've really been focused on that and striving for that," Harbaugh said. "Everybody taking care of the football … we knew Pittsburgh is about as good as they come in ball disruption and getting turnovers."
Herbert added: "They're a very good football team and they've done a really good job of forcing turnovers and protecting the football. You know if you win the turnover battle, you're on your way to winning the game. For us to be able to handle that today, I thought that was really good for us."
Entering Week 10, the Steelers ranked second in the NFL in turnover margin at plus-9. That's nothing new for Pittsburgh, which finished second in this stat in 2024 and tied for third in 2023.
The Chargers, meanwhile, entered Sunday night tied for 21st at minus-4. Through nine games, the Chargers had won the turnover battle twice and been twice while losing it five times.
A week after the Steelers forced six takeaways, they had none against the Chargers. And the Bolts, who didn't force a turnover against the Titans in Week 9, got interceptions from Donte Jackson and RJ Mickens plus a Del'Shawn Phillips fumble recovery on a muffed punt.
"We knew we were going to have to be tight, all communicate and all be on the same page. That's what happened," Jackson said. "We knew the best defense that showed up tonight was going to take home the win. We wanted to be the best defense."
3. Khalil Mack sets early tone
Count this one as a win for Khalil Mack in a Hall-of-Fame battle.
With a little more than five minutes left in the first quarter Sunday, Khalil Mack brought down Aaron Rodgers for his 6.5th career sack on the quarterback. Rodgers fumbled on the play but was able to fall on the pigskin.
Even better, Mack's takedown came in the end zone for a safety to help jumpstart the entire team.
"Playing against Aaron all these years, I knew he wanted to press the B gap, especially when he felt pressure high," Mack said. "I was definitely surprised. Then just knowing the level of competitor he is. I was trying to get [the ball] from him."
Down 3-0, the Chargers took the two points and eventually went on a 25-0 run after that play.
"It came at a great time," Harbaugh said.
Mack's sack was the first of three on the night as Tuli Tuipullotu and Bud Dupree each also got to Rodgers.
But it was Mack's early clutch play that helped the Chargers defense get on the scoreboard.
"The defense putting points on the board, that was our first time doing that [this season]," Henley said.

4. Bolts offense does just enough
As expected, it was a slugfest when the Chargers offense matched up against the Steelers defense.
The final tally shows the Bolts tallied 18 first downs while converting on just six of 17 tries on third downs.
But the unit came through when it mattered most, especially on a six-play, 90-yard touchdown drive early in the fourth quarter that pushed the Chargers to a 22-3 lead. That 19-point cushion felt safe with the way the Chargers defense was playing against the Steelers.
The Bolts had 13 possessions Sunday night, nine of which lasted six plays or fewer. But Herbert and the offense delivered a big blow early in the final stanza to put the game out of reach.
"I think it took us a little bit," Herbert said of the offensive performance. "There are definitely things that we would like to have back and some plays and some drives that there is definitely room for improvement, but I thought we did a good job protecting the ball, not forcing any turnovers, not giving them the ball in good field position.
"So, that part was good but definitely things to clean up," Herbert added.
Herbert, who threw for 220 yards and a touchdown to Ladd McConkey, posted a 90.5 passer rating while getting sacked five times and hit nine times in all.
"He's as tough as they come," Harbaugh said of Herbert.
5. Mickens gets special INT
The Chargers defense has turned a corner of late as the unit has been a driving force behind three straight wins.
Kudos to Mickens, a rookie safety who has carved out a key role since Alohi Gilman was traded to the Ravens.
Mickens intercepted Rodgers on Sunday night, marking the second straight home primetime game the 2025 sixth-round pick has picked up a takeaway.
"I was just playing over the top, trusting that my hook play was going to be there," Mickens said. "Daiyan did a great job getting in the window. Aaron made a bad throw and I capitalized."
James added: "He's been making a lot of plays. Everybody has been making plays. It was an overall good day on defense."
Ironically enough, Mickens' father, Ray, was a safety with the Browns in 2005 during Rodgers' rookie season with the Packers. Ray Mickens played against Green Bay at Lambeau Field that season but Rodgers did not play.
"My dad actually told me that earlier in the week," Mickens said. "I talked to him after the game, Aaron, and he was like, 'No way.'
"It was kind of a full-circle moment. He's a great player, he's going to be in the Hall of Fame," Mickens added. "Being able to play on the same field and be able to pick off such a great player is amazing."
