Chargers Set to Debut a Memorable StubHub Experience

Honoring the past.

Launching new traditions.

Establishing a world-class experience like never before.

The Los Angeles Chargers have been hard at work with a laser focus, determined to cultivate a memorable game-day experience at StubHub Center in 2017.  It all begins Sunday with the preseason opener against the Seattle Seahawks.

The Chargers Cannon remains an integral part of the game-day experience.  A fixture of every home game since 1961, it has fired off celebratory blasts for the past 55 years.  Beginning this season, to officially start the game, the cannon will be set off by a notable figure. Sunday, our special guest will be  Dick Harris, an all-pro member of the inaugural 1960 Chargers team.

Fans will also be treated to memorable performances by the Charger Girls throughout the season.  This year, they'll be joined by four flag runners who will lead the players out on the field and help celebrate Chargers' scores.  Two of the flags will sport the team's current lightning bolt logo, while the other two will feature the original shield logo, which was unveiled in 1960.

In addition, a brand-new Chargers drumline known as the Thunderbolts will launch this season.  The 25-member corps is a mobile unit who'll play throughout the stadium, concourses and at various fan entrances.

Fans will also be called to action by another live musical element - the Bolts Bugler.  This new addition   harkens back to how the Chargers' earned their name before the 1960 season.  Aimed at cultivating a home-field advantage, the Bolts Bugler will kick start a chant from the fans throughout the game, encouraging them to shout "Chargers!"

A new and improved BoltVision will provide fans brand new entertainment and informational elements, including increased fantasy and team stats.  Fans are also encouraged to interact through social media on their devices to have their photos and messages displayed up on the big screens.

BoltVision will also feature the best in-game coverage and replays of all the action. During timeouts, fans will be shown top plays from the other games on the NFL slate.  Furthermore, the in-stadium ribbon boards will constantly update fantasy stats so you can keep tabs on your "other" team's big matchup.

As a reminder, fans are encouraged to arrive at StubHub Center at least 90 minutes prior to the start of Sunday's game.  Those who don't arrive before 4:00 p.m. run the risk missing the 5:00 p.m. kickoff, but  with countless entertainment options, an activation center, and one-of-a-kind food and drink options, there will be plenty to do before the game starts.

Then there's the matter of the game itself.

StubHub Center's intimate nature brings fans closer to the action unlike any NFL experience.  With no bad seat in the house, you'll have a one-of-a-kind experience to be part of the game without actually setting foot on the field.
