The Los Angeles Chargers today announced the team has acquired outside linebacker Odafe Oweh from the Baltimore Ravens. The Bolts will also receive a 2027 seventh-round selection from Baltimore (via L.A. Rams). In exchange, the Chargers will send safety Alohi Gilman and a 2026 fifth-round pick to the Ravens. The completion of the deal is pending physicals.

Oweh (name pronounced uh-DAH-fay OH-way) was selected with the No. 31 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft by Baltimore, starting 25-of-67 regular-season games with the Ravens. He's totaled 23 sacks, 66 QB hits and 26 tackles for loss in his career along with 148 tackles (103 solo), a pass defensed, seven forced fumbles and three recoveries. Oweh had the most productive season of his career in 2024, setting career highs in sacks (10), QB hits (23) and tackles for loss (nine) in 17 games played, including 10 starts. He previously earned All-Rookie recognition in 2021 from the Professional Football Writers of America, and has appeared in five career postseason games, posting two sacks and five QB hits.

Over three seasons at Penn State (2018-20), Oweh helped the Nittany Lions post a 24-11 record, earning a pair of Bowl berths, including a victory in the Cotton Bowl following the 2019 season. The 2020 first-team All-Big Ten recipient appeared in 24 career games and made eight starts, totaling 63 tackles (37 solo), seven sacks, 13.5 tackles for loss, two forced fumbles and two pass breakups.

The Los Angeles Chargers agreed to terms with outside linebacker Odafe Oweh.
