Dona and Joe Friel have had season tickets since 1995 but they did not become Season Ticket Members until 1996. How is that possible, you ask? Well, Dona and Joe got engaged in 1994 and when they were looking to buy a house together, they won season tickets for the 1995 Chargers season through a real estate contest. The following year, they didn't want to miss out on the excitement of Chargers football so they officially signed on as season ticket members. Sadly, Joe passed away in 2001, but nowadays she's joined at the stadium by her daughter Kelli. Avid travelers, Dona and Kelli also have attended games in 17 of the other 31 NFL cities. Dona's other daughter, Jennifer, who lives in Texas, usually makes the trip with them. This year they will be heading to Charlotte, North Carolina to watch the Chargers take on the Panthers on December 11.
Dona has many fond memories of her beloved Chargers over the years. One of her fondest memories is witnessing in person LT's record-breaking touchdown game on December 10, 2006.
