The Chargers are 7-4 following a 35-6 road loss to the Jaguars.
Here's a game recap from Week 11:
Turning Point
The Chargers endured a sluggish first half as they trailed 14-6 at the break.
The defense struggled to stop the run, the Bolts run game was spotty and Justin Herbert took too many hits in the pockets.
Even still, the Bolts were down by one score and were poised to make a move in the second half if the defense could get an early stop.
But with the Jaguars holding possession on third-and-12 from the Chargers 44-yard line, Jacksonville hit on a 21-yard pass play for a fresh set of downs.
A few plays later, when it looked like the Bolts had made a stop in the red zone, Elijah Molden was called for defensive pass interference in the end zone on third down.
That gave the Jaguars the ball at the 1-yard line as Jacksonville scored on the next play. So, instead of keeping the score within eight points — or even 11 with a field goal — the Bolts trailed 21-6 midway through the third quarter.
The Chargers offense, which couldn't generate much traction all day, promptly went three-and-out on their next drive to give the Jaguars the ball back.
All in all, the Jaguars held the ball for 13-plus minutes in the third quarter. Jacksonville scored twice coming out of the half and lead 28-6 early in the fourth quarter.
Top Play
The offensive highlight of the day came from Keenan Allen.
On a day where the unit produced just 135 yards of offense, Allen made a leaping catch in the second-quarter that picked up 30 yards.
Allen became the Chargers all-time receptions leader in Week 10, surpassing Antonio Gates in the process.
Key Stat
The Chargers defense had been the league's best unit during a recent three-game win streak, leading the NFL in defensive EPA per play of -0.333 in that timespan, according to Pro Football Focus.
The Bolts defense had allowed just two total touchdowns in that three-game stretch and had allowed an average of 65 rushing yards per game.
The Chargers couldn't sustain that success as the Jaguars offense won the day in Jacksonville.
The Bolts allowed 192 rushing yards and also gave up five total touchdowns to the Jaguars.
