Dates and times for the 2016 schedule will be announced in April, but the Chargers already know who they will face next season.
In addition to the typical pair of games against their AFC West rival Broncos, Chiefs and Raiders, the Chargers are set to face the AFC South and NFC South. The Bolts will host the Tennessee Titans, Jacksonville Jaguars, New Orleans Saints and Tampa Bay Buccaneers while visiting the Houston Texans, Indianapolis Colts, Carolina Panthers and Atlanta Falcons.
The remaining home and away opponent is always decided based on seeding with the other two divisions in the AFC, meaning the Bolts will host the Miami Dolphins and visit the Cleveland Browns. Both games feature a rematch from 2015 in which the Chargers came out victorious.

Tennessee Titans
All-time Series: Chargers 26, Tennessee 17, 1 tie
More: The Chargers face the Titans for the first time since dropping a 20-17 heartbreaker in Nashville in 2013. It was the team's first loss in 10 meetings vs. the franchise dating back to 1993. Philip Rivers fired three touchdowns to Dante Rosario the last time they hosted Tennessee in a 38-10 win back in 2012.
Jacksonville Jaguars
All-time Series: Chargers 6, Jacksonville 2
More: Next season marks the fourth straight year these two teams square off with the Chargers winning the previous three. Overall, the Bolts have won four in a row against the Jags, including a 31-25 victory in 2015 in which Rivers fired four touchdowns to move past Joe Montana on the all-time list. The last time they hosted Blake Bortles and company was a 33-14 victory in 2014.
New Orleans Saints
All-time Series: Chargers 7, New Orleans 4
More: It's been 12 years since the Saints paid the Bolts a visit, with the Chargers coming out on top 43-17 in 2004. New Orleans won the most recent meeting 31-24 in 2012 on Sunday Night Football.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
All-time Series: Chargers 8, Tampa Bay 2
More: Jameis Winston and Vincent Jackson are primed to lead the Bucs on the road to face the Chargers for the first time since a 31-24 victory at Qualcomm Stadium in 2004. The last time these teams squared off was in 2012 when Tampa Bay won 34-24 at home. They mark the Buccaneers only two victories in the series.
Miami Dolphins
All-time Series: Miami 16, Chargers 15
More: Not only does 2016 mark the fourth straight season the Chargers face the Dolphins, but with the AFC West facing the AFC East in 2017, that means the teams are scheduled to play at least five consecutive years. Danny Woodhead scored four touchdowns in the Bolts 30-14 win this season over Miami, becoming the first Charger since LaDainian Tomlinson in 2007 to accomplish the feat.
AWAY
Indianapolis Colts
All-time Series: Chargers 18, Indianapolis 10
More: The Bolts head to the Hoosier State for the first time since a 36-14 win in 2010. In fact, the Chargers haven't lost in Indy in 12 years when they fell 34-31 in overtime. The game marks the team's first meeting vs. Andrew Luck and the Colts since a 19-9 home victory on Monday Night Football in 2013.
Houston Texans
All-time Series: Chargers 4, Houston 1
More: Rivers is primed to match wits with JJ Watt and the Texans for the first time since Houston rallied for a 31-28 road victory to open 2013 on Monday Night Football. The last time the Bolts visited Reliant Stadium came in 2010 when they marched out with a 29-23 victory. The Chargers have never scored less than 24 points in five meetings vs. the Texans dating back to 2002.
Carolina Panthers
All-time Series: Carolina 4, Chargers 1
More: The Chargers haven't played the Panthers since Cam Newton led his squad to a convincing 31-7 road win in 2012. It marks the first meeting at Bank of America Stadium between the teams since a 17-6 Bolts victory in 2004, and will be the second time in three seasons the team faced the reigning NFC Champions (Seattle Seahawks in 2014).
Atlanta Falcons
All-time Series:Atlanta 8, Chargers 1
More: Matt Ryan marched into Qualcomm Stadium and handed the Bolts a 27-3 loss back in 2012. Now, Rivers looks to return the favor as the Chargers visit the Peach State for the first time in 12 years, when they lost 21-20. The Bolts lone win was a 10-7 victory back in 1988.
Cleveland Browns
All-time Series: Chargers 15, Cleveland 8, 1 Tie
More: The Chargers hope to avenge a 7-6 loss at FirstEnergy Stadium on a rainy, windy day back in 2012. The Bolts came out on top, 30-27, when the Browns came west this season as Josh Lambo booted a game-winning field goal with no time remaining in regulation. Danny Woodhead and Dontrelle Inman also set career-longs with catches of 61 and 68 yards respectively.
