On all jerseys, bolt has been moved down sleeve, below the shoulder. The bolt is gold and and outlined in powder blue and navy. On navy and powder blue jerseys, the bolt is on white strip and on white jerseys, bolt is on a navy blue strip. The numbers are now on the shoulder above the bolt. The front of all jerseys have Chargers scripted across the front above the numbers and below the NFL shield. The team name, numbers and player's name all feature a new font. In 2012, Nike became the official uniform provider for the NFL. The Chargers' color scheme did not change. The only changes to the uniform were a thin white flap that previously followed the V-neck line now stops just below the shoulder numbers, and Nike's emblematic swoosh appears on the left hip of the pants as well as on the right shoulder pad. Nike's uniform technology is hailed as less restrictive with greater ventilation.
There were slight modifications made in 2013. The navy jersey now has a blue collar to match the jersey. The nameplate is now two colors. The white road jerseys have a navy blue nameplate outlined in gold. The navy jerseys for home games have a gold font on the nameplate that is outlined in powder blue and the powder blue alternative jerseys have a white outline and navy blue. The socks feature a gold stripe.
Uniforms stayed consistent, a 4th alternative jersey was added. A Royal blue jersey with gold numbers outlined in white on front, back and shoulders. There is a white stripe on the shoulders with a gold lighting bolt outlined in Navy blue. Pants were Royal blue with a white stripe and a gold lighting bolt outlined in Navy blue. When the Chargers moved from San Diego to Los Angeles in 2017 they took their four jersey combinations with them. The only things that have changed were the addition the socks with a powder blue upper half and also socks that are all royal blue.
