In 2025, Campbell worked with the quarterbacks and coached the offense to rank as a top-15 unit in the NFL. He helped quarterback Justin Herbert earn his second Pro Bowl selection by throwing for 3,727 yards and 26 touchdowns as the Bolts totaled 11 wins for the second-straight season. As an offense, the Bolts eclipsed 2,000 rushing yards on the year and second-year tackle Joe Alt was named a Pro Bowler for the first time despite being limited to six starts due to injury.

Prior to the Chargers, Campbell spent three seasons in Ann Arbor, Mich., as an offensive coach for the Wolverines. He was the offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach in 2024 after working as quarterbacks coach in 2023 and an offensive analyst in 2022. In 2023, Campbell coached quarterback J.J. McCarthy to set single-season program records in completions percentage (72.3) and interception percentage (1.2). The eventual first-round pick by Minnesota in the 2024 NFL Draft earned first-team All-Big Ten honors for throwing 2,991 yards and 22 touchdowns, registering a 167.4 passing efficiency rating.

Campbell coached two seasons (2020-21) as offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach at Old Dominion prior to his time at Michigan. He helped the Monarchs average over 28 points per game and over 380 total net yards per game. Prior to Old Dominion, he was an offensive analyst at Penn State from 2017-19, working with quarterbacks, scouting future opponents and assisting with the offensive game plan. Over that three-year span, the Nittany Lions averaged over 35 points per game.

Prior to his time at Penn State, he spent five years (2012-16) as the assistant head coach/offensive coordinator for Alderson Broaddas University. The offense averaged 34.7 points per game over that span. In his final season with the program, the team posted a 9-2 record and produced three All-America selections. Campbell was promoted to head coach for the 2017 season before departing to Penn State.

Campbell spent the 2011 season as wide receivers/tight ends coach at Tiffin University. During that time, he worked on his master's degree in business administration and management, earning that degree from Tiffin in 2012. Campbell got his first coaching experience as a graduate assistant working with wide receivers at West Virginia Wesleyan University from 2009-10.

A native of Pittsburgh, Pa., Campbell prepped at West Allegheny High before studying communications at Mercyhurst University. He played wide receiver for the Lakers for five seasons (2004-08), graduating with his bachelor's degree in 2008.

Campbell and his wife, Lauren, have three daughters, Riley, Kinsley and McKenna.
