LA's Youth Development Department Gives Final Presentations for Sustainability Program with the Chargers and Ball Corporation
The City of Los Angeles' Youth Development Department (YDD) gave their final presentations in the locker room for the Chargers' sustainability program sponsored by Ball Corporation. The five groups were tasked with ideating an event or campaign that promotes and educates the community on aluminum recycling and sustainability practices. The winning team will receive funding from Ball to implement their projects in Spring 2024.
Chargers Host Youth Tackle Teams at SoFi Stadium for Character Playbook Event
The Chargers hosted Super Bowl participating teams from the Snoop Youth Football League in the team locker room at SoFi Stadium for a Character Playbook event with Everfi. Chargers linebacker Daiyon Henley and Senior Director of Player Engagement, Arthur Hightower, joined the teams for this special event presented by Nike. The focus of the event was on character, leadership, and mental health, preparing the young athletes in attendance for the next level of football and life.
Chargers and Nike Host Inaugural Girls' Flag All-Star Game at SoFi
The Chargers, in partnership with Nike, hosted the first girls' flag high school All-Star Game. This historic event served as a final celebration of the first officially sanctioned season of high school girls' flag football in the state of California. Prior to the kickoff at SoFi Stadium, the participating girls had the unique opportunity to be on set at NFL Network and were featured on Gameday Morning. This special experience added an extra layer of excitement for the 70 top athletes from Southern California who showcased their skills in the inaugural matchup between Los Angeles and Orange County.

This space will serve as a beacon of hope for Veterans and provide them with the resources they need to enter into U.S. VETS programing.
Chargers Partner with LA Animal Services to Host Playgroup Pet Adoption Event
The Los Angeles Chargers teamed up with presenting partner Lazy Dog Restaurants, LA Animal Services, American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals® (ASPCA®), and Dogs Playing for Life to host an adoption event at East Valley Animal Shelter. Chargers Legend, Kassim Osgood, joined and helped promote the importance of adopting and fostering shelter animals. With the community's support, 46 animals were adopted at the event and went to their new fur-ever homes.

Charger Host Inaugural Girls Flag Championship Tournament Presented by Oakley
The Los Angeles Chargers hosted the inaugural Chargers Girls Flag Football Championship Tournament Presented by Oakley, welcoming 20 of the top high school programs from throughout Southern California. The 500 female athletes in attendance were joined by Chargers safety Derwin James Jr., and wide receivers Quentin Johnston and Derius Davis. This past February, the governing body of the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) voted to approve Girls' Flag Football as a sanctioned high school sport in California. The Los Angeles Chargers were actively at the forefront of the initiative, playing an instrumental role in the state's unanimous approval.
This two-day tournament served as the first playoffs and championship games for the state of California and was the most recent display of the Los Angeles Chargers' commitment to the growth of the sport. The organization is set to fully embrace the activation of Flag Football in the 2028 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles following the International Olympic Committee's recent announcement designating Flag Football as an official Olympic sport.
Chargers Partner with PCRF to Host Annual Trick or Treat Trail
The Chargers partnered with Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation to host the team's sixth annual Halloween Trick-or-Treat Trail through the practice facility at Hoag Performance Center. Pediatric cancer patients and their families were invited on a Safari-themed adventure and were joined by Chargers players Michael Davis and Cameron Dicker as well as Chargers Pup River and 10 adoptable puppies from Wallis Annenberg PetSpace for a memorable Halloween evening.
Derwin James Partners with Wallis Annenberg GenSpace for first-ever Derwin's Disco
Chargers All-Pro Safety Derwin James Jr. partnered with Wallis Annenberg GenSpace to host the first Derwin's Disco, a 70s-themed Homecoming party for over 120 members from the space's senior center. The Disco featured a light up dance floor and DJ who joined Derwin to make the day an unforgettable experience for the center and their members.
