The Los Angeles Chargers joined the South Bay community to celebrate and sponsor Hermosa Beach Chamber of Commerce's Second Annual Lemonade Day. Lemonade Day is a free, fun, experiential learning program that teaches young students how to start, own and operate their own business – a lemonade stand. The Bolts supported the event with player appearances from offensive linemen, Foster Sarrell and Trey Pipkins Jr., as well as hosting a lemonade stand selling "Lightning Lemonade" with all proceeds benefitting local El Segundo nonprofit, The Friendship Foundation.

The City of Los Angeles' Youth Development Department (YDD) revealed eye-catching recycling bins at City Hall during the April 19th City Council meeting, marking the finale of the Chargers' sustainability program sponsored by Ball Corporation. After final presentations in December, the winning team received funding from Ball Corporation to implement their project geared toward promoting and educating the community on aluminum recycling and sustainability practices.

The Chargers hosted their sponsored girls' flag football program, the Conquer Chargers, at Hoag Performance Center, where over 80 girls were in attendance. The group received a tour of the facility, watched film in the team meeting room, and practiced on the team's practice field. The group was welcomed by Chargers head coach Jim Harbaugh and left with new backpacks, slides, hats, headbands, and other customized Chargers gear.

The Chargers hosted 72 boys' and girls' teams ranging from ages 8 to 18. The event showcased over 700 athletes, with winning teams from eleven divisions earning Oakley glasses and the opportunity to represent the Chargers at the 2024 NFL Flag Championships this summer in Canton, Ohio. This summer's NFL Championship Games will be televised for the first time ever on ESPN, ESPN+, and ABC.

The Los Angeles Chargers proudly presented two local stars with the inaugural LaDainian Tomlinson High School Player of the Year Award, sponsored by Nike and the National Football Foundation. Held at SoFi Stadium, Home of the Los Angeles Chargers, the NFF's annual postseason banquet welcomed over 200 student-athletes, coaches, and parents from Greater Los Angeles for an evening of recognition and celebration. More than 30 athletes were honored for their outstanding performance on the field, academic achievements, and community contributions throughout the past season. Following the highlight of the evening, the presentation of the two LaDainian Tomlinson High School Player of the Year Awards, attendees enjoyed a unique tour of the Chargers' locker room. Chargers Legend Larry English graced the event as the keynote speaker, imparting words of wisdom to inspire the next generation of athletes.

The Chargers hosted the third annual Bolts Community Crew Beach Cleanup presented by Toyota and supported by Ball Corporation. Over 550 pounds of litter were removed from Dockweiler Beach by volunteers in a day supported by the Surfrider Foundation – South Bay. Chargers CB Asante Samuel Jr. joined the volunteers to assist in the efforts to reduce litter on the beach and raise awareness about plastic pollution.

In honor of Women's History Month, the Chargers hosted the first Career Pathway Panel session for local high school Girls Flag Football players. The teams were invited to the Chargers practice facility to hear from inspiring women excelling in various fields and positions in the sports industry. Moderated by CBS Los Angeles' Jamie Maggio, the panel discussion highlighted the career possibilities available for women who love the game of football and offered advice and insight for the young athletes.

The Los Angeles Chargers, in partnership with Blessings in a Backpack and Verizon, hosted Verizon employees and Bolts Community Crew volunteers to pack 1,000 bags of food that will be distributed to Grape Street Elementary School students. Chargers Running Back Elijah Dotson and Chargers Legend and Assistant OL Coach Nick Hardwick joined the volunteers Saturday morning to pack and store the food at Hoag Performance Center.

The Chargers, in collaboration with the San Diego Unified School District (SDUSD), hosted the 2nd annual kickoff event for the SDUSD middle school flag football program. The event, attended by 250 student-athletes, marked the beginning of the upcoming flag football season in SDUSD middle schools. Chargers legend Corey Luiget was on hand, sharing his wisdom and coaching expertise with the young athletes.

As part of their ongoing partnership with SDUSD, the Chargers contributed by providing essential startup flag kits for participating schools and helped purchase customized team jerseys. This collaborative effort supports the involvement of over 1,600 middle school boys and girls from 60 schools in the SDUSD middle school flag football program.

The Chargers hosted a kickoff event in both El Segundo and Cerritos for the opening week of action in the new Snoop & Housh Flag Football League!!

Partnering with multi-platinum recording artist and entertainment icon, Snoop Dogg, and 11-year veteran wide receiver and NFL Legend T.J. Houshmandzadeh, the co-ed flag football league is centered on empowering youth athletes in Greater Los Angeles, ages five-through-13, to help build their self-esteems, while learning the importance of teamwork in a safe, fun and inclusive environment through football skill development.

In honor of Read Across America Day, running back Elijah Dotson and Chargers Legend Corey Liuget teamed up with the Chargers Impact Fund to celebrate with the students at Lincoln Elementary School. The festivities included a special reading of Dr. Seuss books with the players in the classrooms, as well as a Scholastic Book Fair where all 360 students had the chance to select three books to take home at no cost.

The Los Angeles Chargers hosted a free camp for hundreds of youth football players to celebrate the upcoming launch of the Snoop & Housh Flag Football League. Pro Bowl WR T. J. Houshmandzadeh was on hand for the event, leading drills and interacting with the participants.

The Snoop & Housh Flag Football League will commence its inaugural season in March 2024 with games taking place across the Los Angeles area in El Segundo, Long Beach and Cerritos. Formed to empower youth athletes in their ability to develop football skills, build self-esteem and learn the importance of teamwork in a safe, fun, inclusive environment, the league is open to Pre-K through 8^th grade boys and girls of all skill levels. Nearly 150 local Girl Scouts came together for a day of flag football skills and fundamentals on the Bolts' training camp fields at Jack Hammett Sports Complex.

In partnership with the Los Angeles Chargers Impact Fund, Inglewood Unified School District, and Brotherhood Crusade, SoFi celebrated the graduation of 14 young scholars from the Bolt Academy program. The program is designed to offer juniors and seniors from Inglewood high schools the opportunity to participate in a six month after-school program to develop leadership and job-readiness skills.
