Military Hero of the Week: Lt. Col Dan Stromberg
Recent Military Heroes
Lt. Col. Dan Stromberg is a combat pilot in the United States Air Force. He is currently the 160th Attack Squadron Commander, stationed at March Air Reserve Base in Riverside. He has served for 19 years and will retire next year. He has been deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan and has flown combat missions in both theaters. He has earned several awards and honors for flying in combat, and has accrued 4,000 hours in the air. Read
He has received 4 Air Medals, 2 Meritorious Service Medals, 4 Aerial Achievement Medals, 2 Humanitarian Service Medals, and Global War on Terror Expeditionary and Service Medals. Read
Not only does he work hard in the military, he works hard at serving his family and his community. He volunteers as a board member for his local Little League, coaches both baseball and football, and is also an Assistant Scoutmaster. Read
The Military Hero of the Week presented by California Resources Corporation was created to acknowledge the heroic efforts and sacrifices made by our U.S. service members, veterans and their families. Each week of the Regular Season the Los Angeles Chargers will honor a new Military Hero. The honored service member will receive four tickets to a Chargers home game where he or she will be recognized on-field. Their story and photograph will be shared here.
