The Los Angeles Chargers today announced a multi-year partnership with world-class health care provider Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian, a member of the St. Joseph Hoag Health Alliance, as the team’s ‘Official Health Care Partner.’
Under a multi-year partnership, Hoag and Hoag Orthopedic Institute will provide the Chargers with comprehensive health care by nationally recognized physicians who are specially trained and experienced in caring for professional athletes.
In addition, the Chargers’ Costa Mesa facility, comprised of nearly 102,000 square feet of interior space and an adjacent 3.2 acre parcel of land for its training and practice fields, will be named the Hoag Performance Center.
“We are excited to welcome the Chargers to Orange County and provide our world-class services to the region’s newest professional sports organization,” said Robert T. Braithwaite, Hoag’s president and chief executive officer. “The Chargers executive team made it clear that they wanted only the very best in clinical talent, technology and facilities to care for their coaches and players, and we couldn’t be prouder that they selected Hoag and the Hoag Orthopedic Institute as their Official Health Care Partner. Our commitment to delivering high-quality clinical care and innovative treatment options, just as we have done for our community for nearly 65 years, is a game-winning combination.”
“The Chargers have a history of innovation dating back to Sid Gillman and Air Coryell, a tradition of record breaking achievement by the likes of LaDainian Tomlinson and others, and a passion for serving the community,” said Chargers President of Business Operations A.G. Spanos. “Partnering with a world-class health care provider like Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian – one that shares a similar history of innovation, pushing the boundaries of what is thought possible, and a commitment to community – is a perfect fit.”
