It's Official: Vote Yes on C

San Diego City Clerk Elizabeth Maland made public the official ballot designation for the Citizens' Initiative that would revitalize East Village downtown with a new sports and entertainment complex: Ballot Measure C.  The ballot designations are determined through a draw by the San Diego County Registrar of Voters office.

On November 8, citizens of San Diego will have the opportunity to "Vote Yes on C" which is aimed at providing a world-class events center that would revitalize East Village downtown with expanded convention facilities and a modern, multi-use stadium.  A yes vote on C will allow for the creation of a new facility that could host world-class events and conventions such as Super Bowls, NCAA Final Fours, NCAA title games, professional soccer, concerts, the X Games and a host of other high-profile events.  And no general funds will be used to build this new venue as it will be paid for by the Chargers and the NFL as well as tourists and business travelers staying in San Diego hotels.

Now that the Citizens' Initiative is officially Ballot Measure C, the campaign can begin in earnest: Vote Yes on C.

The final design will be the result of a design process conducted with the Joint Powers Authority, the City or other governmental entity designated by the City to coordinate the construction of the stadium and convention center expansion, if the Initiative is approved by the voters.  Paid for by Citizens for Sports, Entertainment and Tourism, with major funding by Chargers Football Company, LLC.
