Chargers Agree to Terms with Veteran OL Matt Slauson

The San Diego Chargers continued to beef up the offensive line on Monday as they agreed to terms with veteran interior lineman Matt Slauson on a two –year contract.

Slauson started all 16 games last season for the Chicago Bears, including 12 at left guard and four at center.  He allowed only one sack all year.  Originally a sixth round pick of the New York Jets in 2009, he's appeared in 88 games over his career with 85 straight starts since 2010. The seven-year veteran played his first four seasons with the Jets before signing with the Bears in 2013.

The 6-5, 320-pound Slauson reunites with Chargers Assistant Offensive Line Coach Dave DeGuglielmo, who was his O-Line coach during his final year with the Jets.  He is the fourth veteran lineman the Bolts added this offseason.
