Training Camp FAQ

ATTENDING

Is Chargers Training Camp open to the public?

All 14 Chargers practices at Jack Hammett Sports Complex in Costa Mesa, CA are open to the public and free-of-charge. Bleacher seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis. There is no reserved bleacher seating except for a limited quantity in select sections on themed days. Also, new for 2018, more standing room space in front of the bleachers and an expanded interactive fan zone have been added to enhance the fan experience.

PARKING & TRANSPORTATION

Can I drive to Training Camp?

Yes. Parking is available at Gate 3 at the Fairgrounds. Gate 3 is accessible via Fairview Road. There will be no parking in the neighborhoods, violators will be towed. Please note that Arlington Dr. is subject to road closures. We strongly encourage biking, carpooling or using a ridesharing service to get to camp. There will be bike racks at camp and a rideshare pick-up/drop-off point at Merriman Way and Fairview Road.

How much does parking cost?

Parking costs $10. Cash only. Parking is valid for the entire day should fans wish to attend the OC Fair following practice.

How do I get to Training Camp?

After parking at Gate 3, you will walk to the camp. There will be several signs to help guide you.

When does the parking lot open?

The lot opens at 8:00am. Jack Hammett Sports Complex gates open at 9:00am.

DISABLED ACCESS

Is there a specific area where fans with disabilities should park?

There will be ADA spaces available at Presbyterian Church of the Covenant, Orange Coast College and Gate 3 for individuals with a properly issued disabled parking permit.

Where do fans with disabilities sit?

Once you enter Jack Hammett, there will be an ADA path that will lead you to a ramp to get to the bleachers. From there, ADA patrons will have a specific section in the lower level of the bleachers to sit.

WHAT CAN I BRING

Is there a bag policy?

The clear bag policy will not be in affect. Bags will be checked upon arrival to Training Camp.

Fans may bring their own food, water and soft drinks, however alcoholic beverages may not be brought into Jack Hammett Sports Complex at any time. Smoking is not allowed at Chargers Training Camp.

Fans are welcome to bring personal cameras and cell phones, but video cameras and telephoto lenses longer than six inches (detachable or non-detachable) are not allowed. Other items not permitted at Jack Hammett Sports Complex include: pets (other than service animals), weapons of any kind, water guns, fireworks, frisbees, sports balls, beach balls or other inflatable objects, laser pointers, flammable objects, musical instruments or noise-making devices.

What can I bring to Chargers Training Camp?

Please feel free to bring the following items:

- Hats

- Sunglasses

- Sunscreen

- Non-Alcoholic Beverages

- Food

- Small Coolers

- Binoculars

- Strollers

- Footballs

Prohibited Items:

- Weapons (of any kind)

- Alcoholic Beverages

- Glass (bottles/containers)

- Noisemakers

- Flammable Objects

- Frisbees

- Mace & Pepper Spray

- Chains

- Laser Pointers

- Pets (only service animals are allowed)

- Camcorders (professional cameras and tripods)

- Any item deemed inappropriate by security

Shirts and shoes are required. Please refrain from wearing any type of distracting or inappropriate apparel. Smoking is strictly prohibited.

AT TRAINING CAMP

Will there be food and beverage?

Yes, there will be various food and beverage offerings.

Will the latest Chargers merchandise be available?

Yes, there will be a Chargers Merchandise tent located on site.

Will there be family activities?

Yes, the Chargers Fan Experience will have lots of activities for fans to enjoy, including photo opportunities, face painting, football drills, a 40-yard dash competition and an "Activation Zone" with several interactive activities. For our “Activation Zone” (aka the fan zone/nfl experience area west of the practice fields), anyone under the age of 17 will need to have a parent/legal guardian sign a waiver clearing them to participate on site (no taking home waivers and coming back with a signature) each day they attend.

Will there be autograph and photo opportunities with the players?

Some players may be available after practice pending on the team's schedule.
