The Los Angeles Chargers announced today the second annual Los Angeles Chargers Invitational presented by CHLA, the team’s official golf tournament benefiting the Chargers Community Foundation and Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, will take place at Rolling Hills Country Club in Rolling Hills Estates, CA on Tuesday, May 21.

“We’re excited to bring this year’s Los Angeles Chargers Invitational to the South Bay and Rolling Hills Country Club, one of the most talked about new courses on the West Coast,” said Chargers President of Business Operations A.G. Spanos. “It doesn’t get much better than combining Chargers football, a unique links-style golf experience designed by David Mclay Kidd – the architect of Bandon Dunes – and philanthropy. In 2018, the Invitational raised six-figures for our Foundation, the many community programs it supports and CHLA. This year, with the help of all those participating in this great event, we’re looking to surpass that 2018 total and make an even greater impact in the community.”

Head Coach Anthony Lynn and Hall of Fame running back LaDainian Tomlinson are among current Chargers players, staff and legends who will participate, along with select Hollywood celebrities and professional athletes, in the second annual Los Angeles Chargers Invitational. With nearly every member of the Chargers in attendance at last year’s event, including the teams newest draft picks, players who participated in the golf tournament included Keenan Allen, Hunter Henry and Joey Bosa.

The day kicks off at Rolling Hills Country Club, which played host to the 2018 Pac-12 Men’s Golf Championship, with golf check-in, gift bag pick-up, breakfast and a pair of special Chargers’ players putting and driving competitions. The golf tournament itself will tee off shortly thereafter in the morning of May 21, followed by a cocktail reception, silent and live auctions and an awards dinner that evening. Each hole will contain various sponsor activations and giveaways that include food, beverage and golf and Chargers merchandise.

The Chargers have partnered with Steve Webster of CMPR to produce the organization’s second annual invitational tournament benefiting the Chargers Community Foundation and CHLA.

Founded by the Spanos family in 1995 to supplement the efforts of the team’s Community Relations Department, the Chargers Community Foundation has led the way in honoring volunteers, assisting youth sports, and helping critical causes important to the region. Since its inception, the Foundation has provided more than $11 million in direct community assistance. Specifically, the Foundation has awarded more than $5 million in grants for athletic equipment and physical fitness programming in public schools; provided hundreds of thousands in funding to high school athletic programs through the annual Coach of the Week Program; and provided millions of dollars in assistance when disaster has struck.
