The Bolts may be back to football…but "back-to-school" will look very different for many Southern California students due to the lingering effects of COVID-19.
While September marks the kickoff of the Chargers' season, it will also serve as the start of Hunger Action/Awareness Month nationwide. In recognition, fans are encouraged to help their local food bank keep kids (and families) fed by participating in a virtual food drive during Training Camp.
Most needed items include:
- canned meats (tuna & chicken)
- cereal
- canned fruits
- canned vegetables
- oatmeal
- rice
- fresh fruits and vegetables.
In addition to food bank donations, fans are also encouraged to donate to LA Animal Services' Pet Food Pantry. The Pet Food Pantry is a community resource to assist low-income families and individuals in the City of Los Angeles experiencing financial hardship who need help feeding their animal companions.
