Michael A. Spanos

Bio

Michael A. Spanos became executive vice presidentof the Chargers in 1995. In that capacity, he assists in financial and management matters pertaining to the team. Michael joins his brother, President Dean Spanos, in steering the direction of the organization and the vision for a new stadium for the San Diego region.

Michael A. Spanos became executive vice presidentof the Chargers in 1995. In that capacity, he assists in financial and management matters pertaining to the team. Michael joins his brother, President Dean Spanos, in steering the direction of the organization and the vision for a new stadium for the San Diego region.

As executive vice president of the A.G. Spanos Companies, Michael is responsible for the construction and development activities of the organization around the country. He monitors and oversees the office divisions in the states where the company builds and develops. His responsibilities also extend to the areas of property management, land acquisition, as well as to the preparation of all plans for any future direction and growth of the company’s construction and land development activities. From the company headquarters in Stockton, Michael travels regularly across the country to monitor and manage building projects in several states.

Born in Stockton, California in 1959, he attended Lincoln High School and graduated from the University of the Pacific, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration. In 1989, Michael was appointed to the Board of Regents at the University of the Pacific, where he served for five years. Michael continues to contribute both his time and resources to the development of several projects involving youth sports and education. He and his wife, Helen, reside with their five children in Stockton, California.
