Wright (5-11, 182) is a second-year cornerback out of Southern California. The Chargers selected him in the third round of the 2011 NFL Draft
Shareece Wright had what amounted to a learning year in his rookie season with the Chargers. He played sparingly in seven games, seeing the majority of his action on special teams. The Southern California native is looking forward to his second year and a chance to contribute regularly in the team’s secondary.
In 2011, Wright partnered with the Junior Diabetes Foundation. The daughter of his football coach from Colton High School has the disease, which inspired Wright to help. Last September, Wright threw out the first pitch at a San Diego Padres game to introduce his partnership with the foundation.
The San Diego Chargers are counting on Shareece Wright to play a significant role in 2013.
Dallas Cowboys quarterback Stephen McGee has his pass intercepted by Chargers defensive back Shareece Wright who returns it 73 yards back to the Cowboys 1-yard line.
