Bio

Crompton (6-3, 222) is a rookie quarterback. San Diego selected him in the fifth round of the 2010 NFL Draft.

Crompton earned a shot at making an NFL roster with a strong senior season for the Volunteers, passing for 2,800 yards and 27 touchdowns, more scoring passes than all but two other quarterbacks in UT history.

Despite not being invited to the 2010 NFL Combine, Crompton turned an invitation to the Texas vs. The Nation All-Star game into his personal proving ground. He left the Knoxville, Tenn. campus as the school’s seventh leading passer of all-time with 4,187 yards and as a senior put together an impressive streak of 142 passes without an interception, just one off the school’s all-time mark.

TRANSACTION HISTORY: Fifth-round pick (168), April 24, 2010...signed four-year contract, June 3.

COLLEGE: Academic All-SEC in 2007...finished career 348 of 629 for 4,187 yards with 36 TDs and 22 INTs...also three rush TDs...redshirted in 2005...played at Tennessee from 2005-09 ...degree in communications.
