Bio

Worthington, 6-5, 311 pounds, was a seventh-round pick by Pittsburgh in 2010. He spent time with the Steelers and Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2010 before being claimed by the Washington Redskins in 2011. Worthington played in six games for the Redskins in 2012, recording three tackles. He spent the entire 2013 season on the “Reserve-Injured” list.

A native of Buffalo, New York, Worthington attended St. Francis High School in Athol Springs, New York, the same alma mater as Chargers General Manager Tom Telesco. Worthington then attended Ohio State where he earned honorable mention All-Big Ten honors as a senior.
