Green (6-2, 316) is a four-year offensive guard-tackle in his fourth year with the Chargers.
The door of opportunity has swung open for Tyronne Green. With the offseason retirement of left guard Kris Dielman, the former fourth-round draft pick will compete for the starting spot on a permanent basis. Last year after Dielman was injured, Green started eight of the final 10 games despite suffering from a painful broken finger. During his first three seasons, Green has seen time at both right and left guard, while also playing a role on special teams. During training camp and offseason practices, Green has also taken reps at center and tackle. The jockeying of positions though is something Green is used to. He is a converted defensive tackle who played both center and guard at Auburn. Green’s hobbies include singing, bowling, watching movies and playing cards.
