  The Chargers might have found a steal in Ellison, a unanimous first-team All-Pac-10 choice in 2008. In fact, he was the only Trojan to be unanimously selected. Also a team captain, Ellison missed five games as a senior, including the 2009 Rose Bowl against Penn State, due to a knee injury. Ellison also garnered first-team All-Pac-10 honors as a junior and honorable mention recognition as a sophomore. He comes from a very talented athletic family. Brother, Keith, plays linebacker for the Buffalo Bills and another brother, Chris, played defensive back at BYU in the late 1990s. Their cousin, Dominic Ellison, played college basketball at Washington State and New Mexico.

  2009: Got his first career start on Monday Night Football during Week 6 against the Denver Broncos. Finished the game with a team leading six tackles and one assisted tackle. Recorded a season high 10 tackles and a pass deflection that led to a Giants punt. Recorded a sack on Bengals QB Carson Palmer in week 15 contest.

  PERSONAL: Born in Los Angeles, California...numerous honors as RB and LB at Redondo Union HS in Redondo Beach, Calif....set school record with 322-yard game as RB and finished career with school mark of 3,718 rush yards.
