Bio

Spillman (6-0, 199) is a second-year free safety in his second year with the Chargers.  He played five games in 2009.

One of just two undrafted free agents from the Class of 2009 to spend time on the active roster as a rookie, Spillman will look to grow from the early playing experience and increase his workload in 2010. Spillman, whose father, Claude, Sr., played football collegiately at Western Kentucky, played in a total of five games and made one start at Dallas.

TRANSACTION HISTORY: Signed two-year contract, May 1, 2009.

2010: Sept. 13 at KC, led team with three special teams tackles.

2009: First-career start Dec. 13 at DAL and 3rd-down PBU in 2Q forces 42-yard FGA that goes WL to preserve 10-3 lead...Game Ball for season-high three STTs in Jan. 3 win vs. WAS.
