Draft

The Chargers entered the 2007 NFL Draft with only a few needs and found six experienced, versatile players to fill those needs.

“We had a game plan to address our needs at linebacker, wide receiver and tight end,” General Manager A.J. Smith said.  “We’re a very good football team and we’re deep.  We were able to get a few players who we’re very excited about.  When you look at it, we’ve always been able to address needs and get productive players.  We got guys who know how to play the game. Now they’ll come in and try to make a name for themselves.  We feel good about what we were able to accomplish.”
