English heads Chargers draft class of 2009
Outside linebacker Larry English (6-2, 255) from Northern Illinois headlined the Chargers 2009 NFL Draft class as the two-day proceedings came to an end on Sunday afternoon. The Bolts selected a total of eight players. A two-time winner of the Vern Smith Leadership Award as the top player in the Mid-American Conference, the Chargers selected English with the 16th overall selection in the first round.
