Bio

Dees joins Joe D’Alessandris to coach the Chargers’ offensive line after the two worked together in Buffalo in 2012.

A former tight end, offensive tackle and team captain who earned a degree in child and family studies from Syracuse, Dees is an alumnus of the NFL’s Minority Fellowship Internship Program, having spent time working in camps with Buffalo (2000), Miami (2004), Pittsburgh (2005), New Orleans (2006) and Philadelphia (2007). Dees also spent time as a player with both the Cincinnati Bengals (1992) and Seattle Seahawks (1993), but did not appear in any games.

A native of Babylon, N.Y., Dees entered the coaching field as the offensive and defensive line coach at St. John the Baptist High School in West Islip, N.Y. in 1996 and moved up to the college ranks at Wagner College in ’97. He spent the 1997-11 seasons in college football until joining the Bills in 2012.

Dees and his wife, Kimberly, have a son, Drew, and a daughter, Kara.
