Carlos Polk

Bio

A two-time Special Teams Player of the Year, a Most Inspirational Player, and a former Ed Block Courage Award winner during a seven-year playing career in San Diego, Polk is in his third season assisting the Chargers’ special teams. He assists Assistant Head Coach—Special Teams Rich Bisaccia in all areas of practice and game planning.

Polk played linebacker and special teams for the Chargers from 2001-07 and the Dallas Cowboys in ’08. He retired in 2009 and spent one season sharpening his coaching skills at Grossmont College in La Mesa, Calif.

A native of Rockford, Ill., Polk was an All-America linebacker at Nebraska, graduating with a degree in sociology.

Polk is married, Monique. He has a son, DeVonn, and two daughters, Deja and Miracle.

2010-12 — Special Teams Assistant, San Diego Chargers
