Marissa

Bio

Marissa realizes the significance of stepping out onto the Chargers field each game day; it's the culmination of a lifelong dream for this San Diego native, who proudly returns as a third year veteran and a first year captain. One of her most cherished memories on the team will always be supporting the troops. Marissa comes from a big Military family. All of her grandfathers are U.S. Navy retired, and two of them served on the most decorated ship during WWII, the USS Enterprise CV6. Her brother-in-law is active duty Navy, and has served on numerous ships for 13 years, including the USS Carl Vinson CVN-70. Last season, Marissa had the great honor of being selected to travel with two of her teammates to Washington D.C. to perform with The Beach Boys at the USO of Metropolitan Washington's Christmas Concert for the Troops. She will never forget the thrill of performing in front of Purple Heart soldiers and being able to thank those who serve. Marissa graduated in the top 10% of all undergraduates at San Diego State University in 2006 where she was a distinguished member of the Dean’s List. Soon after graduating, she landed an exciting career as a magazine editor and a designer. Marissa delights in the joy of home ownership and considers herself an old soul, discovering and refinishing antiques in her spare time. She is also a dog enthusiast and loves spending time with her two rescue dogs. Marissa credits the unconditional love and support of her family for helping her realize her dreams, and looks forward to seeing Chargers fans “Bolt Up” for every action-packed game day!
A recent graduate of the University of Southern California, Lauren is a third year veteran of the San Diego Charger Girls. She feels blessed to have the opportunity to dance on the field for another season, representing her favorite football team in the NFL, and being able to participate in a number of once-in-a lifetime opportunities. Lauren has traveled extensively as an ambassador for the Chargers organization including a recent trip to Mexico City where she participated in a promotional tour on behalf of NFL Mexico. Lauren’s Mexican and Italian heritage makes for a very large and loving family. She adores spending time in the kitchen, cooking delicious Mexican and Italian meals—but, more importantly, she enjoys eating them! Prior to performing in the NFL, Lauren danced in the NBA for three seasons and was a youth surf instructor for three years. She thoroughly enjoyed working with young children. She also had the unique experience of working as a performer at Disneyland, bringing magical moments to those around her. Lauren is currently embarking on a career in sales and spends her free time with loved ones, shopping, drinking coffee, and enjoying the sun at the beach. Lauren loves being a member of the Charger Girls team because it provides her with the opportunity to be an ambassador of the community by reaching out to others and the youth in San Diego. She looks forward to another memorable season with the Bolts!
