Marisa was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota. San Diego became her home shortly after she was born. She is currently a student at San Diego State University where she is majoring in Kinesiology. Along with attending college and being a member of the Charger Girls team, Marisa works with her father at his San Diego-based fitness club and health food restaurant. She is learning the daily operations and management skills necessary to run the business. She hopes to use her degree in Kinesiology to assist her father in improving the already successful family business and potentially expanding the business to other locations throughout California in the future. Beyond business, Marisa and her father share another common bond; her father played in the NFL for nine seasons, one of which was with the San Diego Chargers. Marisa is very proud that she and her father have both performed on the same exact field, each of them doing what they love and are passionate for! Marisa was chosen as the only representative from the Charger Girls to participate in ‘NFL on Tour’ in Tokyo, Japan last season. While in Japan Marisa’s goal was to create increased awareness and participation in American football and to promote Super Bowl XLIII. In her spare time Marisa supports the ASPCA and local animal shelters. She recently adopted a dog from the animal shelter and has plans to rescue more animals in the future with the hopes of eventually starting her own rescue program. Marisa is in her 4th season as a member of the Charger Girls team and enjoying her first year as a team captain. She loves being on the field in front of 65,000 fans on game day and looks forward to cheering the Chargers all the way to Miami for Super Bowl XLIV! What Marisa enjoys most about Charger Girls is being an ambassador for the community of San Diego and a role model to young children. Marisa is excited to be part of the Chargers organization during this landmark year. It is special to her because it is a time to honor, thank and celebrate the fans and players of the past and present who have made the organization what it is today.
