Originally from Yorba Linda, California, Katelyn returns as a second year veteran of the San Diego Charger Girls. Katelyn has an extensive, technical eighteen-year background in dance. She has trained with numerous award-winning choreographers and danced for many top-ranked teams and studios, including the McCoy Rigby Dance Academy, Esperanza Varsity Song Team, and the San Diego State Dance Team. She has won several prestigious awards and scholarships throughout her dance career, including over fifty first-place titles. Katelyn also received a scholarship to perform in New York City as an Off-Broadway Dancer. As a six-year member of the National Charity League, Katelyn assisted various local philanthropies and participated in educational leadership activities. Her most cherished time was spent volunteering with the Ronald McDonald House of Orange County. Katelyn is studying Kinesiology with an emphasis in Fitness Specialist at San Diego State University. She plans to continue her knowledge of dance and become a dance therapist in the future. Off campus, Katelyn brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in her work as a gymnastics teacher for many recreational centers throughout San Diego. Katelyn’s favorite memory from her first season on the team was working with the Jr. Charger Girls program and performing with them on the field, as she is passionate about helping children find their own passion in dance. In her free time, Katelyn enjoys bowling, kayaking, relaxing on the beaches of San Diego, and spending time with family and friends.
