ALCOHOL POLICY: Alcohol sales begin from the time the gates open and continue until the end of the third quarter. An individual must be 21 years of age to buy alcoholic beverages and proof of age is required. There is a two-drink limit per order. Everyone, regardless of age, must present a valid I.D. for each alcohol purchase. During the Chargers-Raiders game on October 14, 2007 there is a one-drink limit per order and all alcohol sales will be eliminated following halftime.

AUTOMATED TELLER MACHINES: ATM Machines are located on the Plaza Level between gates F & G, Club Level Sections 8 & 15 and at View Level Section 20.
BABY CHANGING STATIONS: Diaper changing tables are located in most of the women’s and men’s restrooms throughout the stadium. Family restrooms are located at Loge 49 and Loge 54.
BEACH BALLS: Beach balls and other inflatable items are prohibited from entering the stadium.
BANNERS: The Chargers encourage fans to create signs to show their support for the team. Banners must be related to the game, in good taste, must not obstruct the view of other fans or interfere with stadium structures and signs. Generally, banners should not be larger than three feet by three feet.
CAMERAS & VIDEO RECORDING DEVICES: Fans are permitted to bring cameras and video recorders into the stadium, provided they are intended for personal use only and do not interfere with other fans’ view of the game. The taping of game footage is prohibited.
CARRY-IN ITEMS: Food in a small plastic bag and factory-sealed plastic water bottles ½ liter, 17 oz. or less (limit two per person) are allowed into the stadium. Bottles, cans, coolers and bags larger than 12”x12”x12” are prohibited from entering the stadium. All items are subject to search or may not be admitted.
CATERING & KEG PERMITS: Any tailgate which provides catered food service or furnishes a keg must provide proof of liability insurance and obtain a permit from the Qualcomm Stadium Manager. SDMC 59.0502(a)(10). Contact the Qualcomm Stadium Manager at (619) 641-3100.
CHARGER GIRLS: The Charger Girls may be best known for their entertainment on the sidelines at San Diego Chargers games; however, they spend the majority of their time volunteering and working in the community. The Charger Girls would love to be a part of your next event! CHARGERS TEAM STORE: The Chargers Team Store is located at Qualcomm Stadium, Gate G and is open year-round, Monday – Sunday 10am – 7 pm. On game days an additional team store at Gate B will open five hours prior to game time and closes one hour after the game ends. Contact the Chargers Team Store at (619) 641-6053.
CHARGERS COMMUNITY FOUNDATION: The Chargers Community Foundation was founded in 1995 by San Diego Chargers owner Alex Spanos to enhance his belief of "sharing the wealth" and to provide an even greater level of financial assistance for educational, physical fitness & nutritional needs of the San Diego community. The money raised by the Chargers Community Foundation is allocated through grants, scholarships and monetary donations to nonprofit organizations and educational institutions working to enrich and strengthen communities throughout the greater San Diego area.
CHILDREN: Anyone over 36 inches in height or children over two years of age, require a game ticket.
CLUB LEVEL: The Chargers Club Level features early VIP entrances, wider padded seats, in-seat wait service, four club lounge bars and a variety of food and special amenity items. The Club Level is an exclusive level for Luxury Seating members only.
CODE OF CONDUCT: Fans who demonstrate inappropriate and disruptive behavior, including the following, are subject to ejection and season ticket holders risk losing their season ticket account for:
• Excessive consumption of alcohol
• Obscene, offensive or abusive language or actions
• Fighting, or otherwise dangerous, abusive or profane behavior
• Unruly or inconsiderate behavior
• Indecent exposure or undressing
• Wearing obscene or indecent clothing
• Smoking, except in designated areas
• Scalping or other improper resale of tickets
• Interfering with security procedures
• Interfering with the progress of the game, going onto the field or throwing any object onto the field or on the stadium premises
Even if season ticket holders give away or sell their tickets to a game, the account holder is accountable for the actions of those using the tickets. Accounts can be forfeited partially or entirely for violations of the Code of Conduct.
CONCESSIONS: Food guides are available at all concession stands and any Guest Services location.
DESIGNATED DRIVER BOOTH: The Chargers, California Highway Patrol, Centerplate & Anheuser-Busch promote using designated drivers at booths on the Plaza Level near Elevators 1, 2, 4 and at Stair P. A coupon for a free non-alcoholic beverage or water will be provided to designated drivers through the first quarter.
DRINKING FOUNTAINS: Drinking fountains are located near the entrances of most restrooms.
ELEVATORS: Elevators are located at Gates B, D, F, & H, and are accessible only to persons with disabilities, the media, credentialed staff and Luxury Suite and Press Level tickets.
END ZONE CLUB: The End Zone Club is located on Press Level at Section 21 and features two seatings for buffet service. Access is exclusive to Luxury Seating members only. For reservations in the End Zone Club, call (619) 641-6033.
ESCALATORS: There are four sets of escalators throughout the stadium. Escalators B & J access the Club, Loge and View Levels. Escalators D & G access the Loge and View Levels.
EVACUATION PROCEDURES: In the case of an emergency, you may be asked to calmly exit the stadium. Please follow the instructions for your seating area.
FIELD LEVEL Sections 0-11 and 31-42, use the stairs in the back of your section to reach the concourse. Turn left or right and walk up the stairs to the Plaza Level. Exit through the nearest gate to the parking lot.
FIELD LEVEL Sections 12-20, 43-45, 56-58 and the PLAZA LEVEL, walk up the stairs to the concourse and exit through the nearest gate to the parking lot.
CLUB LEVEL and LOGE LEVEL Sections 45-49 and 54-58, walk down the stairs to the concourse. Turn left or right to the nearest ramp down to the Plaza Level and exit through the nearest gate to the parking lot.
SUITES on the LOGE or PRESS LEVELS, exit through the door to the concourse and go down the ramp to the Plaza Level. Exit through the nearest gate to the parking lot.
PRESS LEVEL, VIEW LEVEL or LOGE LEVEL Sections 15-27, exit into the concourse and turn left or right to the nearest ramp. Go down to the Plaza Level and exit through the nearest gate to the parking lot.
FAMILY SECTION: The Chargers have dedicated View Level Section 58, Rows 5-26 to the enjoyment of families. Alcohol and abusive language are not allowed in this area.
FEMININE PRODUCTS: Are available at First Aid and at Club Level concierge desks.
FIRST AID: First Aid is located on the Plaza Level between Gates F & G. An aid station is located on the Plaza Level at Gate N.
GATES
ENTRANCE GATES: Luxury Seating ticket holders may enter Gates B, D, H and J which open three hours prior to kickoff. All ticket holders may enter through Gates A, C, E, F, G, L, and P two hours prior to kickoff. Gates O1 and O2 are also open for capacity events.
EARLY EXIT GATES: Fans wishing to leave the game before the fourth quarter may exit through doors at Gates A, D, F, & H. After leaving, there is no re-entry into the stadium.
GIFT SHOPS: The Chargers Team Store is located at Gate B and is open before and after the game. Additional stores are inside the stadium at Gate G, Plaza Level Sections 28, 46 and 47, Club Level Sections 4 and 36 and View Level Section 28. They carry novelty items, apparel, NFL merchandise, sun care products, film and batteries.
GUEST SERVICES: The Guest Services office is located on the Plaza Level between Gates F & G. There are additional Guest Services tables located at: Plaza 45 & 58, Club 8 & 34, Loge 22, Press 8, and View 25. Guest Services representatives will help answer questions regarding directions, promotions and stadium services.
JR. CHARGER GIRLS: Be a part of a halftime show with the San Diego Charger Girls and give back to the wonderful community of San Diego. Participants age seven to fifteen will have the opportunity to perform in front of 65,000+ fans at a Chargers home game and raise money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. KIDS ID BRACELETS: I.D. bracelets that can be marked with seat locations are available at any Guest Services location.
LEAVING THE STADIUM: Fans are not allowed to remain inside the stadium for more than one hour after the game ends. SDMC 59.0202(a)(10). All vehicles must be removed from the parking lot two hours after the game ends. SDMC 59.0502(a)(9).
LIGHTNING PAVILION: The Chargers Lightning Pavilion is a reserved VIP party area located inside Gate L. For more information on this premier area featuring a private tent, fully catered pre-game buffet and bar, and big screens with all the Sunday morning NFL action, contact a Chargers ticket representative at Gate C.
LOST CHILDREN / ADULTS: Any fan looking for a lost child or adult should contact the Guest Services office, located on the Plaza Level between Gates F and G.
LOST & FOUND: Lost & Found is located at the Guest Services office, located on the Plaza Level between Gates F and G. After the game, please contact Stadium Security at (619) 641-3150.
MURPHY’S: Located on the Plaza Level Section 21 and open to the public. Murphy’s offers a variety of food choices, beverages and cocktails.
NOISE-MAKING DEVICES: Musical instruments and other amplified or noise making devices are not allowed inside the stadium. SDMC 59.0202(a)(8). Small megaphones, less than 12 inches long are acceptable.
NO RE-ENTRY: For your safety and the safety of others, fans leaving the stadium before or during games will not be allowed re-admittance.
PAGING: The stadium Public Address System is not used for paging fans. Please visit any Guest Services location for assistance. If expecting an emergency telephone call, please leave your name and seat location at the Guest Services office at Gate F.
PARKING: We strongly encourage fans to arrive three hours before game time and to carpool. The parking lot opens five hours before kickoff and can be expected to reach capacity almost two hours before kickoff. The lot closes two hours after the conclusion of the game. AAA Assistance – An emergency service vehicle is available, free of charge, beginning at half-time and continuing until two hours after the game ends. Please visit the Guest Services Office at Gate F for assistance.
GLASS BOTTLES - Glass bottles and containers are not allowed in the stadium parking lot. SDMC 59.0502(e).
Illegal Parking – Vehicles illegally parked may be towed at the owner’s expense.
Motorcycles & Bicycles – Parking is located between parking areas F1 and G1.
Overflow – Additional parking is located at the Pacific Bell building (just west of the stadium) off of Northside Dr. Overflow parking is also available at San Diego State University, the Mission Valley Marriott and the Town & Country Hotel. Parking rates vary. From SDSU, the Marriott and Town & Country, purchase Trolley tickets before boarding the trolley to the stadium. RV Parking – RVs and vehicles longer than 20 feet in length are required to park in the designated RV Parking area located in section A3 of the parking lot, enter at Gate 1 from San Diego Mission Rd. RV Parking is sold on a seasonal basis and in advance by calling (619) 281-PARK.
Shuttle Service – Cloud 9, Qualcomm Stadium and the Chargers operate free courtesy shuttles throughout the parking lot before and after the game. For assistance, contact Guest Services. Shuttles are accessible for fans with disabilities.
TAILGATE ZONE - Reserve a designated parking space for your tailgate in advance and make it easier to enjoy a full day with food and friends, without the 5 a.m. wak-up call. Spaces can be reserved on a seasonal basis and in advance by calling (619) 281-PARK.
Tailgating – Tailgating is allowed in your parking space only. SDMC 59.0502(a)(6). Designated Tailgate Areas can be reserved by calling (619) 281-PARK. Any tailgate which provides catered food service or furnishes a keg must provide proof of liability insurance and obtain a permit from the Qualcomm Stadium Manager. SDMC 59.0502(a)(10). Taxi Stands – Pick-up locations are outside Gates A, B, D and J and on San Diego Mission Road. For assistance contact Guest Services at Gate F.
POWER PARTY: The Bud Light Chargers Power Party is the ultimate tailgate party featuring live bands, large screen TVs with NFL Sunday Ticket, great food and beverage selections, games, prizes and more. The Power Party takes place during the regular season at section F-2 in the Qualcomm Stadium parking lot and begins three and a half hours prior to kickoff. Admission is free and open to all ages.
PUBLICATIONS:
Gameday Magazine – The official game day program of the San Diego Chargers is published for all 10 Chargers home games and features Chargers players, opponent information, team updates, photos, community information and more. GAMEDAY can be purchased at entry gate kiosks as well as Gift Shops throughout the stadium.PROHIBITED ITEMS: For the comfort and safety of everyone, bottles, cans, coolers and large bags are not permitted in the stadium. Carried items are limited based on a size restriction of 12"x12"x12" and at the discretion of event staff. All items are subject to search or may not be permitted. Any object that can be considered or used as a weapon, is not allowed inside the stadium. This includes all metal and hard plastic costume accessories with sharp edges or tips. Helmets and plastic head wear will be allowed providing it meets these conditions. Other items that are prohibited from entering the stadium include, but are not limited to, sticks, inflatable objects, laser pointers, flammable objects, stun guns, fireworks, lawn furniture, spray bottles, beach balls, frisbees, musical instruments, boomerangs, knives, mace and pepper spray, chains, balloons, sports balls, water guns, rollerblades, skates, scooters, noise making devices and umbrellas.
Chargers Media Guide – This comprehensive guide provides you with team schedules, team history and player bios as well as career and personal information for each player. The Chargers Media Guide can be purchased from the Chargers Pro Shop at www.chargersproshop.com.
Chargers Yearbook – The San Diego Chargers Official Team Yearbook features a full-color layout, large photos of your favorite Chargers players, team schedule, roster, statistics, and more. The Yearbook can be purchased from the Chargers Team Store at Gate B and at www.chargersproshop.com.
Tailgate Times – For fans that bring their “Q” to Qualcomm Stadium, Tailgate Times is distributed at entrances to the stadium parking lot and includes player features, tailgating recipes, fan experiences, game information and more.
RAMPS: There are eight ramps which connect the Plaza Level to the Club, Loge, Press and View Levels. Ramps are located near Gates A, C, E, F, H, K, L and P.
RECYCLING: Qualcomm Stadium in partnership with the Urban Corps of San Diego, recycle over 80,000 pounds of aluminum cans, glass and plastic bottles. That is more than more than 250,000 bottles and cans diverted from landfills. You will also find new recycling bins under most light poles in the parking lot and near entrance gates.
RESTROOMS: Restroom facilities are located on all levels of the stadium. Portable restrooms are located throughout the parking lot as well.
RETIRED JERSEYS:
Lance Alworth – 19: Affectionately known as “Bambi” for his grace and spectacular moves during his 11 pro seasons, Lance Alworth (FL, Arkansas) was the first AFL member inducted into the NFL Hall of Fame in 1978. During his career he caught 542 passes for 10,266 yards, an 18.94-yard average and 85 touchdowns and in nine seasons with the Chargers he averaged more than 50 catches and 1,000 yards per season. Alworth’s jersey was retired on November 20, 2005.
Dan Fouts - 14: From 1973 until 1987, Dan Fouts (QB, Oregon) led the Bolts over 15 seasons, amassing a Hall of Fame career with 3,297 passes for 43,040 yards and 254 touchdowns and an 80.2-point rating. He also rushed for 476 yards and scored 13 touchdowns. Fouts was the foundation of the Air Coryell passing attack, leading the NFL in passing yardage four straight years from 1979 to 1982, and became the first player in history to throw for 4,000 yards in three consecutive seasons. Fouts’ jersey was retired on November 27, 1988.
RING OF HONOR: The Chargers Ring of Honor is a tribute to members of the San Diego Chargers Hall of Fame and is viewable above the visitor’s sideline of the stadium, on the Press Level.
SCOREBOARD MESSAGES: To place a special message on the Chargers scoreboard, please contact the Chargers Community Relations Department at (858) 874-4500. Requests must be received 72 hours prior to the game.
SECURITY: The Security Office is located on the Plaza Level at Gate A.
SERVICES FOR FANS WITH DISABILITIES: An Accessible Guide to Qualcomm Stadium is available at all Guest Services locations.
Assistance - If requested, Guest Services will provide assistance for persons who have difficulty accessing their seat.
Assistive Listening Devices – Assistive Listening Devices (ALD) are available at the Guest Services office at Gate F.
Elevators – Elevators are located at Gates B, D, F & H. Elevators for use by persons with disabilities to get to the Field Level/Lower Plaza Walkway are located at Gate E and at Section 51 behind the scoreboard.
Parking - A limited number of free parking spaces are available for fans with valid accessible placards or license plates.
Restrooms – Accessible restrooms are located throughout the stadium.
Seating - Wheelchair, companion, semi-ambulatory and transfer seating is available. Contact the Chargers Ticket Office at 888-263-0006 for more information. For the hearing impaired call 619-641-3171 (TTY).
Service Animals – Any guide dog, signal dog or other animal that is trained to provide assistance to an individual with a disability is permitted inside the stadium. Animals can relieve themselves at planters near Gates M or N.
TTY Machines - TTY machines are located in the following areas: Field Level 26, Plaza Level 48 & 56, Club Level 8 & 34, Loge Level 35, Press Level 48 & 55, View Level 48 & 55, and at the Chargers Ticket Office at Gate C.
Water Fountains – Accessible water fountains are located on each level near the restrooms.
Wheel Chairs – Wheelchairs are available through Guest Services at Gate F. Wheelchairs are for assistance only and are not intended to be occupied by the guest during the game.
SMOKING: Smoking is prohibited inside Qualcomm Stadium. Qualcomm Stadium is a smoke free facility. Fans wishing to smoke may do so in designated smoking areas on the Plaza level at Gate E and outside Gates O1 and O2, directly behind the scoreboard on the east end of the stadium.
TELEPHONES: Amplified pay telephones are located on the Plaza Concourse at gates C, E and F; on the Club level at sections 8 and 34; and outside the stadium at Gate C.
TICKET WINDOWS:
Advance Tickets –The Chargers advance ticket window located at Window C is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 am – 5:00 pm and on Saturday from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. On game day, ticket windows open at 9:00 am and stay open until 1 hour after the game ends. Advance ticket locations are also inside the stadium at Gate F and at the Club Level Concierge desks. Luxury Seating– The Chargers Luxury Seating window is located at Window A. The Chargers Luxury Seating office offers Luxury Suites on the Loge and Press Levels (available on a seasonal or per game basis), Premier Suite Seating and Club Level Seating. For more information, stop by the Luxury Seating Ticket Office at Gate A or contact a Luxury Seating representative at 1-877-242-7437.
Season / Group Tickets – The Chargers offer a variety of benefits and special services to its season ticket holders. For more information, contact the Chargers at 1-877-CHARGERS or stop by Gate C.
Will-Call – Will-Call is located at Ticket Window C and opens at 9:00 am on game day. You must present a picture I.D. to pick up tickets. Luxury Seating will-call is located at Window A and opens at 9:00 am.
TRANSPORTATION:
Amtrak: Fans from Los Angeles and Orange County can ride select Pacific Surfliner® trains to the San Diego Old Town rail stop where they may board the San Diego Trolley Green Line to Qualcomm Stadium. It’s easy to take Amtrak® to the game. Visit Amtrak.com for schedules.
Chargers Express Bus: San Diego Transit’s Chargers Express Bus will serve seven home games this season. There will be no service to the pre-season games, nor will there be service to the Monday Night game on 12/24/07. Busses leave from five convenient locations. Buses begin loading two hours before game time with the last departure 45 minutes before game time. Buses leave the stadium 20 minutes after the game ends.
North County Express BREEZE Bus: North County Transit District’s Chargers Express Buses serve all home games (except Thursday, August 30) along both the I-5 and I-15 corridors. Buses depart from the Escondido and Oceanside Transit Centers and have several convenient pick-up locations along the way. Round trip fares for adults are $12; for youth (12 and under) $4. San Diego Trolley: THE MTS Trolley’s Green Line provides service to QUALCOMM Stadium from all stations, from Santee Town Center, Gillespie Field and El Cajon Transit Center in East County to the Trolley’s Mission Valley stations at Grossmont Center, 70th Street, San Diego State, Grantville, Rio Vista, Hazard Center, Fashion Valley, Morena/Linda Vista and the Old Town Transit Center. Fans can also transfer to the Green Line from both the Blue Line and the Orange Line. The Green Line runs every five to seven minutes starting three hours before game time and post-game departures are every five to seven minutes in each direction. Round trip tickets range from $3.00 to $6.00, or use your monthly pass. Buy a round-trip ticket or Day Tripper pass at vending machines before boarding. Day Tripper passes are also sold in advance at the Transit Store at First and Broadway, Downtown or by visiting the estore at sdmts.com.
