Hardwick has surgery, expected to miss 8 weeks

Chargers Pro Bowl center Nick Hardwick underwent surgery on his left ankle today and is expected to miss the next eight weeks. Hardwick, in his sixth season as the team’s starting center, was injured in the Chargers’ season opener in Oakland on Sept. 14.
