The 6-0, 198-pound receiver spent the entire 2008 and ’09 seasons on the team’s practice squad and was recently re-signed to the unit after he was waived at the end of training camp. Banks wears No. 16 and is eligible to play in tomorrow’s game against the Tennessee Titans at Qualcomm Stadium. The Melvin, Alabama native originally joined the Chargers in 2008 as an undrafted free agent from Troy University.
