More than 640 Bolts Believers recently enjoyed a weekend at sea with some of their favorite players during the Fourth Annual AAA Travel Chargers Fan Cruise.  A record number of attendees headed south of the border from March 13-17 as Charger players, coaches and fans cruised from San Diego to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.

Those aboard received a rare opportunity to enjoy four days with Bolts safety Clinton Hart, wide receiver Kassim Osgood, linebacker Tim Dobbins and Hank Bauer, a former Chargers running back who now serves as the color commentator on the Chargers Radio Network. Secondary coach Bill Bradley and outside linebackers coach John Pagano represented the Bolts coaching staff.

The weekend started off with a cocktail reception where the players, coaches, and staff were introduced. Other activities included a scavenger hunt, Q&A autograph session, and a group photo which provided fans a chance to get up close and personal with the players and coaches. All attendees received a unique travel bag filled with Chargers and AAA Travel goodies.

The ship dropped anchor in Cabo San Lucas on Saturday, where fans disembarked for a chance to explore the resort city and all experience the local cuisine and music. The seas were a little rough on the return, but that didn’t stop fans from enjoying all the music, food and activities the ship had to offer.

John Glennie, a Chargers season ticket holder who has attended all four Chargers Fan Cruises with his wife, always enjoys rubbing shoulders with the Chargers’ players as well as fellow Bolts fans.

“We have been fans since the late 70’s and have gotten to know quite a few of the player’s personally,” Glennie said. “This cruise is usually our best trip of the year and it is amazing seeing it grow from about 200 the first year to almost 700 fans this year.  We have also made a lot of friends on the Cruise who we keep in touch with on a regular basis and can’t wait for next year.”
