Chargers re-sign offensive lineman Kynan Forney

The San Diego Chargers have re-signed unrestricted free agent offensive lineman Kynan Forney to a two-year deal.

Forney originally signed a one-year deal with the Chargers on Sept. 1,2008, but did not see any game action during the ’08 season. He is anine-year veteran who played seven seasons with Atlanta where hestarted 88 of 95 games played.  Most of his action has been at guard,where he was named a first alternate to the Pro Bowl in 2005.  TheFalcons led the NFL in rushing three straight seasons from 2004-06, andduring that time Forney was considered the club’s best offensivelineman. 

The University of Hawaii product has some familiarity with the Chargerscoaching staff.  Chargers running backs coach Ollie Wilson held thesame position in Atlanta for six of Forney’s seven seasons with theclub.
