Week in Review: Starks, Butler, Rivers and More

Posted Jun 2, 2013

Here is your weekly recap of what went down at Chargers Park last week.

It was a short week here at Chargers Park due to Memorial Day, but the rookies continued to work out while the veterans enjoyed some time off.

We brought back the popular Chargers mailbag this week with three separate installments.  The first edition asked who was the biggest offseason acquisition, who will lead the team in sacks and more.  Part two focused on Mike McCoy’s coaching style as well as Philip Rivers and Cam Thomas.  Finally, the last part included topics such as Corey Liuget, Manti Te'o, Melvin Ingram and more.

On Wednesday, Jordan Beane caught up with the Bolts new left tackle, Max Starks.  Watch below to see what he had to say.

Out in the community, the Chargers wrapped up the latest NFL Play 60 challenge with a celebratory Jr. Chargers Training Camp. Read all about it right here and then catch some top pictures from the event right here.

This week’s Throwback Thursday was dedicated to inside linebacker Donald Butler Check out photos of him from his college days at Washington through today.

Finally, on Friday we brought to attention NFL.com’s story about Offensive Coordinator Ken Whisenhunt and Rivers.  Whisenhunt says he expects big things from the Chargers QB.

The next two weeks figure to be busy ones here at Chargers Park with four OTA sessions starting Monday and minicamp taking place the week after. Be sure to check back to Chargers.com often for complete coverage.
