The San Diego Chargers returned to action after a week off, and Chargers.com was with you every step of the way with wall-to-wall coverage.
The team took the field again on Monday for the first of four OTA sessions. The practice was Max Starks’ first with his new team, and he spoke about how coming to the Chargers is like a new adventure. Later, Philip Rivers addressed the media and talked about how far the team has progressed in a short amount of time. Meanwhile, head coach Mike McCoy said the team is off to a good start. The biggest news of the week was the arrival of All-Pro Dwight Freeney. The outside linebacker said it feels like the first day of Kindergarten out here in San Diego, and the only place you can catch the first photos of him in action is right here. Meanwhile, two returning players that are being counted on to step up in 2012 are nose tackle Cam Thomas and cornerback Shareece Wright. Read all about how Thomas is focusing on becoming a leader of the defensive line while the Chargers are banking on Wright.
The Chargers were also pleased to announce this week that they signed their first round draft choice, right tackle D.J. Fluker.
