Vote Mathews FedEx Ground Player of Week

Posted Dec 17, 2013

Ryan Mathews has been nominated for this week's FedEx Ground Player of the Week.

Ryan Mathews had a big time performance last Thursday night against the Denver Broncos, and now he is nominated for the FedEx Ground Player of the Week!

Mathews tied his career high with 29 carries, matching the total he posted just four days earlier, and ran for 127 yards and a touchdown in the victory.  In the process, he is now tied for the most 100-yard games by a running back this season with five and topped 1,000 yards for the second time in his career.

“I was just trying to run hard,” he said after the game.  “Trying to get yards after the first hit and be able to make positive plays.  Our main thing is make positive plays.”

Be sure to keep voting for Mathews right here for FedEx Ground Player of the Week.

Then, also help Mathews reach the Pro Bowl by voting to send him and his fellow Chargers to Hawaii.
