Vincent Brown Blog: "I Love How the Offense is Rolling"

Posted Sep 19, 2013

Today's player blog comes courtesy of wide receiver Vincent Brown.

It feels good to be able to talk to you guys after a win.  That’s what Chargers football is all about.  We’ve got to keep the momentum going into Tennessee. They’re a great team and will be a tough opponent, so we have to be ready to head there and take care of business.

I love how the offense is rolling right now.  Seeing what Eddie Royal is doing, it’s amazing.  Just watching this dude every day and the things he does in practice, I’m just trying to learn from the things he’s doing.  He’s already taught me a lot, so the things he does on the practice field and in the games, it’s awesome.  And I’m so happy Philip won that AFC Offensive Player of the Week award.  It shows how the offense is rolling and what a great leader he is.  He knows how he wants this offense to be, and we know what we have to do to be successful in this league, so I tip my hat off to him.

Being how last year went, to get that first touchdown last week and be contributing, it feels great.  It’s a blessing to be back.  I’m happy to be back playing again.  Whenever you get injured to that magnitude you never know if you’re going to be playing again, so for me, I’m just happy to be back on the field contributing.

So obviously, I’m a big San Diego State fan coming from there.  It’s been a tough start to the season, but I still have the faith.  Hopefully we’ll get going and get the young guys rolling and we’ll be able to turn it around.  So you can’t ever lose the faith.  We’re struggling right now so we’ll see what happens.

Thanks a lot to the fans for being great and awesome.  You always show the support.  I see you all out in the city, and I appreciate how big of fans you all really are.  It makes me proud to be a Charger.

Vincent
