From now until the start of training camp, Jordan Beane and I will be previewing each position for the San Diego Chargers.
We continue the series with a look at the Chargers revamped offensive line.
General manager Tom Telesco spent a great deal of the offseason tinkering with the unit, and as we prepare to enter training camp, only center Nick Hardwick returns at the same position he lined up at last year. The only other returning presumed starter from 2012 based on off-season workouts is Jeromey Clary, who kicks inside to right guard from his former tackle position.
In free agency, the Bolts brought in a number of season veterans including tackles Max Starks and King Dunlap, as well as guards Chad Rinehart and Rich Ohrnberger. Meanwhile, with the 11th overall selection in this year’s NFL draft, the team added right tackle D.J. Fluker out of Alabama.
Watch the above video for analysis of the entire offensive line.
