Head Coach Mike McCoy reiterated during his final press conference of the offseason how involved he wants fans to be this upcoming season. As a result, there will be 10 practices open to the public come training camp, including the team’s annual Fan Fest held at Qualcomm Stadium.
“We’re going to do something different this year in training camp where there is going to be more days open to the general public,” McCoy said on Thursday. “The players have worked extremely hard, and we want to show the fans what we’re doing here, the players and the new acquisitions we’ve made. It’s really about the whole entire city of San Diego getting together and going out and winning a lot of football games and making a great game day experience every Sunday we’re out there in the stadium.”
Dates open to the public currently are July 25, 26, 27, 28 and August 1, 5, 10, 12 and 17. Fan Fest is tentatively scheduled for August 3. In addition, practice will be open to season ticket holders on July 31 and August 2. More information, including exact times for practices, will be announced closer to training camp. These dates are subject to change.
