Shareece Wright Blog: "You Want to Play Against the Best"

Posted Dec 10, 2013

This week's player blog comes courtesy of Shareece Wright.

Sunday’s win was pretty special.  We know that every win at this point is critical for our future.  We need every win, so that was the biggest thing.

Now, getting my first career interception was really special mainly because it was my first one.  Hopefully that got the monkey off my back and opens the floodgates for more.   That interception was special because we won too.  Of course I make the interception and my teammates start getting on my case that I didn’t score.  It’s never enough.  But it was all in good fun and I’ve kept that ball.

I also have to say that was the best crowd I’ve seen since I got here.  How loud they were and how into the game they got, that’s something I won’t forget.

Now we have a quick turnaround, playing our second game just four days later.  We just need to do whatever we can do mentally and physically to get our bodies ready.  We have to be prepared for this game.

Going up against that quarterback and those receivers, that is a big time challenge.  But that is why we play the games.  You want to play against the best.  That’s where you prove yourself and how good you are when you go against good receivers like that.

Thanks for the support, and hopefully we can come back from Denver with that ‘W’ for you.
