Recapping the Draft: D.J. Fluker

Posted Apr 27, 2013

Check out all the content created about first round draft choice D.J. Fluker, offensive tackle out of Alabama.

Here is all the Chargers.com content on the team’s first round pick, offensive tackle D.J. Fluker out of Alabama.

As soon as Fluker was announced as the 11th overall selection, we reposted a detailed prospect profile I wrote on him a few weeks ago. We followed that up with a pair of photo galleries - one of Fluker in action and another of him at the NFL Draft.

Moments after pegging him with the team's draft choice, General Manager Tom Telesco left the war room to have a chat with our own Nicoletta Ruhl.  Watch it right here.

A little later, I had a chance to talk with Fluker directly from New York. You can read the transcript of our conversation right here.

We followed that interview up with a story detailing how the sky is the limit for the big right tackle, and you can find it right here.

To end the first night of the draft, Telesco and Head Coach Mike McCoy met with the media to discuss Fluker and the NFL Draft.  See what they had to say below.

The next morning, we greeted Fluker as he arrived at Chargers Park.  You can find photos of his arrival right here.

Next, he filmed a one-on-one conversation with our own Jordan Beane, which you can watch right here.

Afterwards, Fluker held his first press conference as a member of the San Diego Chargers.  See how it went right here.

You can also find photos of the press conference by clicking on this link.

One of the biggest takeaways from his session with the media was when the takle talked about how every day is a work day for him.

Earlier that morning, I wrote a block entry detailing why Fluker is an absolute physical beast.  Find out why right here.

Finally, to find out what the scouts saw in D.J. Fluker that warrented the 11th overall selection, watch Executive Vice President of Football Operations John Spanos break it down in Bolts Breakdown right here.

Now, you can stay in touch with the team anytime, anywhere, on your mobile device with the official app of the San Diego Chargers.
